Market Now: Nearly 30 stocks hit fresh 52-week low today

NEW DELHI: Shares of Morepen Labs, NDTV, Mandhana Industries, Orissa Minerals, Vimal Oil Food, Sun Pharma, Lloyd Electric, Cambridge Tech, Dr Reddys Labs, SML Isuzu, SURANA Solar, Lupin, Nitin Fire Prot, Coal India, Adlabs Entertainment and Ajanta Pharma were among the 30 stocks that touched their new 52-week low in Friday's trade by 10.50 am (IST).

However, Titan Company, TBZ, Dwarikesh Sugar, Coral India Fin, Standard Chartered PLC., Vedanta, Phillips Carbon, Hero MotoCorp, Dhampur Sugar, Bata India, Indiabulls Real Estate, JSW Steel, Graphite India and ACC were among the 22 stocks that hit their fresh 52-week high.

Due to weak Asian cues and sustained selling in pharma, bank and FMCG stocks, benchmark indices remained choppy.

Nifty Pharma index cracked nearly 2 per cent with major components of the index in red.

Among the bank stocks, IDFC Bank, YES Bank, HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the biggest losers in trade so far.

Metal stocks such as Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco, JSW Steel and National Aluminium Company were gaining.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was trading 18 points lower at 9,995, while the 30-share Sensex was 94 points down at 32,143 around 10.50 am (IST).

In the Nifty50 pack, 26 stocks were trading in green, while 25 stocks were in red.

On BSE, 904 stocks were advancing whereas 1,254 stocks were lagging.
