Market now: Lupin, HDFC, Infosys most active stocks in terms of value

Shares of Lupin (Rs 360.30 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 207.91 crore), RIL (Rs 171.63 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 145.79 crore), TCS (Rs 138.59 crore), ITC (Rs 110.96 crore), HDFC (Rs 105.05 crore), SBI (Rs 92.52 crore), Sun Pharma (Rs 87.48 crore), Aurobindo Pharm (Rs 74.73 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 72.01 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 66.68 crore), Adani Ports SEZ (Rs 63.57 crore), YES Bank (Rs 60.07 crore), Infosys (Rs 56.09 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 55.89 crore), Idea Cellular (Rs 53.20 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 51.00 crore), Dr Reddys Labs (Rs 48.41 crore), Glenmark Pharma (Rs 46.04 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in the morning trade.

The NSE Nifty was trading 55.25 points up at 9415.80 at around 10.40 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, Lupin (down 5.99 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 2.43 per cent), Dr Reddy's Labs (down 2.18 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 1.46 per cent), PowerGrid (down 0.90 per cent), Cipla (down 0.74 per cent), NTPC (down 0.74 per cent) and Tata Steel (down 0.67 per cent) were among the top losers.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 2.86 per cent), Tata Motors (up 2.59 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (up 1.71 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.58 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.57 per cent), GAIL (up 1.57 per cent), Infosys (up 1.54 per cent) and TCS (up 1.40 per cent) were among the top gainers on the Nifty 50 chart.

Most Active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with highest trading turnover during the day.

In the morning trade, Electrotherm, Kesar Enterprises, Lakshmi Finance, Shakti Pumps, Emmbi Ind, PPAP Auto, TVS Motor, Hindustan Unilever, Voltas, Eimco Elecon are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.

On the other hand Sintex Industries, Videocon Industries, Kaushalya Infra, Lupin, Shilpi Cable Tec, Hindustan Dorr, Urja Global, Tara Jewels, MIC Electronics and Glenmark Pharma stocks hit their new 52-week low levels.
