Market Now: Infosys, Lupin among most active stocks in terms of value

NEW DELHI: Shares of Infosys (Rs 83.00 crore), Lupin (Rs 52.16 crore) and Reliance Industries (Rs 33.91 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Tuesday's early trade.

Most active stocks in terms of value help investors to identify the stocks with the highest trading turnover during the day.

Tata Steel (Rs 28.22 crore), YES Bank (Rs 26.69 crore), HDFC (Rs 21.92 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 20.56 crore), Eicher Motors (Rs 20.42 crore), Power Grid (Rs 20.29 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 20.24 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 20.15 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 17.81 crore) were also in the league.

Equity benchmarks were trading in the positive territory.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 32.5 points up at 10021.25, while BSE Sensex was up 95.53 points at 31942.42 around 09:30 am (IST) on October 10.

In the Nifty index, Lupin (up 2.33 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.41 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 1.22 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 1.17 per cent) and Cipla (up 1.10 per cent) were among top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 0.48 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 0.47 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 0.47 per cent) and ITC (down 0.32 per cent) were among the top losers among the Nifty stocks.

On the NSE, 1096 stocks were advancing, compared with 418 stocks declining and 434 stocks remaining unchanged.

TVS Electronics, Times Guaranty, Salona Cotspin, Sanwaria Agro, Genus Paper & Boards, The Grob Tea Company, Coral India Fin, Indo Thai Sec, Marathon Nextgen, Nagarjuna Agri, Goa Carbons, Apex Frozen Foods are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week highs in Tuesday's trade so far.
