NEW DELHI: Shares of LCC Infotech (down 16.67 per cent), Sujana Universal (down 10.53 per cent), Gyscoal Alloys (down 10 per cent), PAE Ltd (down 10 per cent) and Tirupati Forge (down 10 per cent) cracked 10 per cent on NSE in Wednesday's trade, defying the bullish market stance.

Stocks such as General Insurance Corporation of India (down 9.42 per cent), Uttam Value Steels (down 9.09 per cent), NIIT (down 9.01 per cent), SPML Infra (down 9 per cent), Edelweiss Fin (down 9 per cent) and Tijaria Polypip (down 9 per cent) declined 9 per cent.

Equity benchmarks remained bullish, backed by the gains in bank stocks.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 91 points up at 10,299, while the 30-share Sensex was 439 points up at 33,046 around 2.50 pm (IST).

State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank, GAIL, Tech Mahindra and Adani Ports were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, YES Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, HDFC Bank, HDFC and Lupin were among the top losers.

On the NSE, 697 stocks were advancing, compared with 962 stocks declining and 312 stocks remaining unchanged.
