Market in red: ICICI Bank, RIL, Vedanta among most active stocks in terms of value
The NSE Nifty index was down 26.05 points at 9177.40 around 2.15 pm.

Shares of Infosys (Rs 730.80 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 233.61 crore), Hindalco Industries (Rs 182.74 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 180.56 crore), Vedanta (Rs 140.45 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 139.78 crore), TCS (Rs 129.88 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 128.36 crore), Adani Ports SEZ (Rs 115.39 crore) and Punjab National Bank (Rs 107.23 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE.
The NSE Nifty index was down 26.05 points at 9177.40 around 2.15 pm.
In the Nifty50 index, Hindalco Industries (down 3.16 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 2.37 per cent), Infosys (down 2.21 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 2.14 per cent), TCS (down 2.08 per cent), Tata Steel (down 1.56 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 1.49 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.43 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (down 1.24 per cent) were among the top losers.
On the other hand, Bank of Baroda (up 2.52 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 2.24 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 1.98 per cent), BPCL (up 1.57 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 1.07 per cent), PowerGrid (up 1.01 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 1 per cent), HDFC (up 0.88 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.80 per cent) and ACC (up 0.60 per cent) were trading in the green.
Most active stocks in terms of value help investors identify stocks with the highest trading turnover during the day.
During the day, 20 Microns, Barak Valley, Onward Tech, ISMT Ltd, Talbros Auto, Oriental Hotels, Healthcare Global Enterprises Ltd., Shah Alloys, Welspun Ent. and Ind Swift Ltd hit their fresh 52-week high, while Signet Ind, JMT Auto, Shekhawati Poly, FCS Software, Nagarjuna Agri, Rasoya Proteins, VKS Projects, Farmax India, Rollatainers Ltd and Capital Trust hit their new 52-week low levels.
