ICICI Bank down 1%; Chanda Kochhar booked for criminal conspiracy

The CBI booked the bank's former CEO Chanda Kochhar on charges of criminal conspiracy.

The ICICI Bank scrip traded 0.55 per cent down at Rs 363 around 9.50 am.
NEW DELHI: Shares of ICICI Bank declined 1 per cent on the BSE on Friday morning, taking the losing run to the seventh straight session.

The CBI on Thursday booked the bank's former CEO Chanda Kochhar on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating and abuse of official position for “dishonestly sanctioning loans to the Videocon Group”.

Kochhar, who was the MD of ICICI Bank until last October, is accused in the CBI FIR of allegedly receiving “illegal gratification through her husband, Deepak Kochhar, from Videocon MD V N Dhoot for sanctioning a term loan of Rs 300 crore to Videocon International Electronics Ltd”.


The scrip closed 1.86 per cent down at Rs 358.20 on BSE.
