Shares ended higher on Thursday, with financials such as ICICI Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance taking the lead, but plunging IT stocks such as Infosys capped gains, Reuters reported.

The broader NSE Nifty closed 0.51 per cent higher at 10,789.85, while the benchmark BSE Sensex ended up 0.4 per cent at 35,898.35.

“Markets are currently dancing to the global tunes and we feel it may continue for some time, in absence of any major event on the local front. Nifty has again reached closer to its immediate and crucial hurdle of 10,800 and its sustainability would trigger further rebound. We suggest continuing with stock specific trading approach and maintaining positions on both sides. Also, keeping close eye on global developments,” said Jayant Manglik, President - Retail Distribution, Religare Broking.
