Mumbai: GQG Partners increased its holdings in five Adani Group companies - Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and Adani Power - in recent block deals on Tuesday.

The Rajiv Jain-backed fund purchased shares worth ₹551 crore in Adani Energy Solutions, acquiring 53.94 lakh shares at ₹1,021.55 apiece.

In Adani Enterprises, GQG Partners invested ₹1,315.2 crore by acquiring 53.42 lakh shares at ₹2,462 apiece.


The firm also bought ₹842.5 crore worth of shares in Adani Green Energy, picking up 77.39 lakh shares at ₹1,088.6 each through its various equity vehicles.

Additionally, GQG Partners purchased 73.17 lakh shares in Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone at ₹1,507.6 apiece, amounting to ₹1,103.14 crore,

In Adani Power, the firm acquired 8.36 crore shares at ₹153.28 each for a total investment of ₹1,281.57 crore.

Beyond the Adani Group, GQG Partners also invested ₹445.1 crore in GMR Airports by purchasing 4.55 crore shares at ₹97.68 each. The firm further added positions in Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, ITC, JSW Energy, JSW Steel, Patanjali Foods, Power Finance Corporation, State Bank of India, and Sun Pharmaceuticals.

Reliance Trust Institutional Retirement Trust Series Twelve acted as the seller in these transactions.
