As Dalal Street investors gear up for the traditional Muhurat Trading session, domestic brokerage Samco Securities has unveiled a basket of 12 investment ideas for Samvat 2083, spanning key domestic sectors and international exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The recommendations, drawn from the brokerage's live calls, cover a diverse range of opportunities across power, capital-market infrastructure, IT services, aerospace and defence engineering, data-centre and telecom equipment, music and automobiles. The list comprises 10 Indian stocks and two US-listed ETFs, with holding periods ranging from three months to the long term.

The two international ETF picks are aimed at providing a hedge against rising crude oil prices and a weakening rupee, which are the key risks identified by the brokerage.

Diwali Muhurat Trading 2026: Date and timings

The Indian stock market will remain open for a special one-hour Muhurat Trading session on Sunday, November 8, 2026, as the country celebrates Diwali. Trading on both the BSE and NSE will take place between 2:20 pm and 3:30 pm.

However, the exchanges will remain closed on Tuesday, November 10, on account of Diwali Balipratipada.

In the commodity derivatives segment, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), the country's largest commodity exchange, will conduct a special session from 2:05 pm to 2:19 pm, followed by the regular Muhurat Trading window from 2:20 pm to 3:30 pm.

Muhurat Trading is steeped in tradition, with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) introducing the practice in 1957, followed by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in 1992. The session traditionally coincides with Lakshmi Puja, when investors seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and prosperity.

Samvat 2083: 12 stocks and ETFs to watch

Samco Securities' Muhurat basket combines domestic equity opportunities with overseas sectoral exposure. Here is a closer look at the brokerage's recommendations and the technical rationale behind each call.

BSE

BSE appears to be entering an accumulation phase near its 50-week exponential moving average (EMA), according to Samco Securities.

The stock's recent correction from Rs 4,447 to around Rs 3,000 was broadly consistent with its historical corrections of approximately 30% over periods of seven to 15 weeks. The brokerage believes the correction has now run its course in terms of both price and duration.

The stock has subsequently reclaimed its 50-day moving average at Rs 3,300 and its 200-day moving average at Rs 3,369. A bullish crossover in the weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) further strengthens the case for a potential resumption of its primary uptrend.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 3,455-3,565.

Stop loss: Rs 2,810

Target price: Rs 5,441

Investment horizon: One year.

Adani Power

Adani Power returns to Samco Securities' Muhurat basket after featuring in last year's selection and achieving its target of Rs 240 in May 2026.

Following a rally to Rs 254, the stock has undergone a correction and is now consolidating around its 200-day moving average of Rs 192. The brokerage identifies the Rs 175-180 zone as an important support area.

With the daily RSI at 45, the stock's momentum indicator remains in neutral territory, leaving room for a potential recovery and the next upward move.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 186-192.

Stop loss: Rs 162.70

Target price: Rs 318.85

Investment horizon: One year.

Tech Mahindra

Tech Mahindra has emerged from a prolonged consolidation phase, breaking above the Rs 1,450-1,650 range in which it traded for most of the past year following its second-quarter results.

The stock is now trading close to its 52-week high of Rs 1,854 and comfortably above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages of Rs 1,608 and Rs 1,525, respectively.

Samco believes the earlier resistance zone of Rs 1,650-1,700 could now act as support, providing a stronger technical foundation for the stock's upward trajectory.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 1,760-1,820.

Stop loss: Rs 1,492.80

Target price: Rs 2,904.50

Investment horizon: One year.

Azad Engineering

Azad Engineering is among the more compelling risk-reward opportunities in Samco Securities' Muhurat basket.

After surging from Rs 1,400 to Rs 3,128 between April and October, the stock has corrected approximately 22% and is now testing its July breakout zone of Rs 2,400-2,450.

Despite the correction, the stock continues to trade comfortably above its rising 200-day moving average of Rs 2,148. Its RSI, hovering around 35, also indicates that the stock is approaching oversold territory.

The brokerage considers this the strongest reward-to-risk opportunity in its basket, citing a stop loss approximately 9% below the current price and an upside target of more than double the recommended buying range.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 2,405-2,485.

Stop loss: Rs 2,221.55

Target price: Rs 5,108

Investment horizon: One year.

HFCL

HFCL has been among the market's stronger performers over the past year, delivering gains of approximately 206% over the 12-month period.

After touching a high of Rs 282, the stock has entered a consolidation phase within the Rs 200-280 range. Samco views this as a healthy pause following its sharp rally rather than a deterioration in its broader trend.

The stock continues to trade significantly above its 200-day moving average of Rs 159, while the Rs 191-200 zone remains an important support area.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 227-235.

Stop loss: Rs 180.25

Target price: Rs 381.10

Investment horizon: One year.

Tips Music

Tips Music has gained approximately 21% over the past month following its results and is trading just below its 52-week high of Rs 809.

The stock remains well above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages of Rs 675 and Rs 623, respectively. It is also forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the weekly charts, a technical formation that could indicate further upside.

Samco's recommendation issued in May 2026 has already generated gains of around 22%. For fresh investors, the brokerage suggests accumulating the stock on declines rather than chasing the recent rally.

Recommendation: Accumulate in the range of Rs 770-794, preferably on dips.

Stop loss: Rs 616

Target price: Rs 1,050

Investment horizon: One year.

L&T Technology Services

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) witnessed a sharp breakout after its October 21 results, surging approximately 15% intraday and moving decisively above the Rs 3,000-3,800 range in which it had remained confined for most of the year.

While the breakout signals a strengthening technical structure, the stock is now trading around 22% above its 50-day moving average, with its RSI at 75, indicating overbought conditions in the near term.

Given the sharp run-up, Samco recommends a staggered entry strategy. Investors are advised to deploy half their intended investment initially and consider the remaining allocation on a potential pullback towards Rs 3,900-4,000.

Recommendation: First tranche in the range of Rs 4,215-4,345, with the remaining allocation on a pullback towards Rs 3,900-4,000.

Stop loss: Rs 3,308.80

Target price: Rs 6,013.45

Investment horizon: Six months.

TVS Motor Company

TVS Motor Company has been consolidating within the Rs 3,740-4,485 range over the past three months, while maintaining its position above both its key moving averages.

The stock's 50-day moving average stands at Rs 4,134, while its 200-day moving average is at Rs 3,793, indicating that the broader technical structure remains constructive.

According to Samco, a decisive close above the Rs 4,485 consolidation high could signal the beginning of the next leg of the uptrend.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 4,130-4,260.

Stop loss: Rs 3,600

Target price: Rs 5,411

Investment horizon: Six months.

Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX)

MCX has reached an all-time high of Rs 3,481, adjusted for the 1:5 stock split undertaken in January 2026, and has since entered a consolidation phase between Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,480.

The stock is currently trading around its 50-day moving average of Rs 3,248 and remains comfortably above its 200-day moving average of Rs 2,846.

Samco believes a sustained move above Rs 3,480 could trigger a fresh breakout, making the current consolidation range an important technical zone to monitor.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 3,140-3,240.

Stop loss: Rs 2,750.20

Target price: Rs 3,835.75

Investment horizon: Three months.

Sansera Engineering

Sansera Engineering continues to trade within a rising price channel, with the stock recently rebounding from a crucial support zone near the channel's lower boundary and its 50-day moving average of Rs 4,121.

The stock is now attempting to reclaim its 20-day moving average. Samco also highlights that an earlier resistance zone has turned into support, while the RSI has rebounded from the 40 level, which the stock has consistently respected since January 2026.

These technical indicators, according to the brokerage, suggest that the primary uptrend could be resuming.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of Rs 4,045-4,175.

Stop loss: Rs 3,558.85

Target price: Rs 4,965.90

Investment horizon: Three months.

1

Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE)

For investors seeking international exposure and a potential hedge against rising energy prices, Samco has included the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) in its Muhurat basket.

The US-listed ETF is trading near its 52-week high of $70.15 and remains above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages of $64.93 and $58.73, respectively.

It has gained approximately 19% over the past three months. Samco's recommendation on the Samco app, initiated in March 2026, is already in profit.

The brokerage sees further long-term upside in the ETF, supported by its prevailing technical strength.

Recommendation: Buy in the range of $68.50-71.50.

Stop loss: $49.75

Target price: $102.70

Investment horizon: Long term.

Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV)

The second international ETF recommendation is the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV), which is trading at a fresh 52-week high and remains comfortably above its key moving averages.

Its 50-day moving average stands at $172.22, while the 200-day moving average is at $158.67. However, with the RSI at 73, the ETF is in overbought territory in the near term.

In view of the elevated momentum indicator, Samco advises investors against deploying their entire allocation at once. Instead, the brokerage recommends accumulating the ETF in multiple tranches over the coming weeks.

Recommendation: Accumulate in the range of $182-188.

Stop loss: $133.50

Target price: $295.95

Investment horizon: Long term
