Check out the stocks that jumped 20% on Friday

NEW DELHI: BASF India (up 20 per cent), Sundaram Brake (up 20 per cent), Arrow Textiles (up 19.95 per cent), Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd. (up 19.99 per cent), India Glycols (up 19.99 per cent) and Arrow Textiles (up 19.95 per cent) jumped up to 20 per cent on Friday.

Stock markets closed in the positive territory on Friday. Equity benchmark Nifty50 closed 91 points up at 9,980, while Sensex settled at 31,814, 222 points higher.

In the Nifty50 index, GAIL (India), with a gain of 6 per cent, stood as the top gainer on Friday. It was followed by, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Vedanta.

Bharti Infratel, Hero MotoCorp, HDFC, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Power Grid Corporation of India settled as the top losers.

All sectoral indices closed in the green on NSE on Friday, with Nifty Metal leading.

Shares of ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 2.54 crore), NTPC (1.58 crore), SBI (1.19 crore), Axis Bank (1.13 crore) and Tata Steel (0.95 crore) were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange on Friday.
