Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, PNB, ICICI Bank, RIL

NEW DELHI: MPS Infotecnics with over 0.19 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.14 crore) , ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore) , PNB (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore) , High Ground (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore) , SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore) , JSPL (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) , JP Power (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore) and Vedanta (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

ICICI Bank (Rs 40.79 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by GSK Consumer Healthcare (Rs 32.81 crore), RIL (Rs 20.20 crore), Infosys (Rs 13.65 crore), HDFC (Rs 13.42 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 12.30 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 12.12 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 8.05 crore), Hindalco Industries (Rs 7.76 crore) and JSPL (Rs 7.59 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 41.20 points up at 10,885.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 92.23 points at 36,816.97 around 09:16 am.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 3.03 per cent) , Vedanta (up 2.89 per cent) , Hindalco Industries (up 2.73 per cent) , JSW Steel (up 2.61 per cent) and Tata Steel (up 2.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While ICICI Bank (down 1.21 per cent) , Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 0.99 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.66 per cent) , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.62 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
