Buzzing stocks: Vodafone Idea, TCS, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 10.86 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.77 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.63 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.61 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), Zee Ent. (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore) and SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

TCS (Rs 257.79 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.


It was followed by YES Bank (Rs 201.42 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 197.70 crore), RIL (Rs 149.28 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 136.98 crore), SBI Cards & Payment Services (Rs 135.20 crore), SBI (Rs 132.46 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 116.99 crore), HDFC (Rs 105.75 crore) and Bajaj Finance (Rs 72.20 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 67.65 points up at 9,034.7, while BSE Sensex was up 194.42 points at 30,773.51 around 09:27 am.

In the Nifty index, YES Bank (up 28.47 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 7.70 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 4.01 per cent), Infosys (up 3.42 per cent) and Vedanta (up 3.20 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Axis Bank (down 2.94 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 2.08 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 2.04 per cent), Nestle India (down 1.98 per cent) and GAIL (India) (down 1.94 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
