Alstom T&D shares up 3% as co announces Rs 84 crore order
Alstom T&D has bagged an order worth Rs 84 crore from Chattisgarh State Power Transmission Company for setting up a 400 kv substation.
MUMBAI: Alstom T&D has bagged an order worth Rs 84 crore from Chattisgarh State Power Transmission Company for setting up a 400 kv substation, the company said Monday.
Reacting to the order win, shares of the company rose over 3% to Rs 163.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at 12:45IST.
The order entails erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kv substation at Jadalpur in Chattisgarh.
Alstom T&D is a part of the French-conglomerate Alstom. In June 2010, a consortium of Alstom and Schneider Electric acquired the transmission and distribution business of Areva. The two then split the business with Alstom acquiring transmission and Schneider Electric absorbing the distribution business. Subsequently, Alstom got control of the listed entity Areva T&D, which was renamed Alstom T&D. End
