Mphasis Q2 net down 17 pc at Rs 219.29 crore
IT and BPO firm Mphasis today posted about 17 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 219.29 crore for the second quarter (Q2) ended April 30, 2011, compared to the same period last fiscal.

NEW DELHI: IT and BPO firm Mphasis today posted about 17 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 219.29 crore for the second quarter (Q2) ended April 30, 2011, compared to the same period last fiscal.
The company had a net profit of Rs 263.10 crore in the quarter ended April 30, 2010, Mphasis said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Mphasis fiscal runs November-October. During the quarter ended April 30, the firm's revenue was Rs 827.73 crore, down 17 per cent, from Rs 998.31 crore in the year-ago period.
For the six months ended April 30, the company had a net profit of Rs 428.40 crore, 18 per cent decline from Rs 506.01 crore in corresponding period previous fiscal.
During the period, the company's revenue stood at Rs 1,649.02 crore, while it was Rs 1984.97 crore in the six months ended April 30, 2010.
