Guar seed futures ease on low demand

Guar seed prices on Friday declined by Rs 19 to Rs 4,054 per 10 quintal in futures trade.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for November delivery was trading down by Rs 19, or 0.47 per cent, at Rs 4,054 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 1,600 lots.

For December delivery, guar seed prices decreased by Rs 13, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 4,096 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 60,895 lots.


Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
