Guar seed futures decline on low demand

New Delhi: Guar seed prices on Monday declined by Rs 71 to Rs 4,160 per 10 quintal in futures trade. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for November delivery was trading down by Rs 71, or 1.68 per cent, at Rs 4,160 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 21,460 lots.

For December delivery, guar seed prices decreased by Rs 73, or 1.71 per cent, to Rs 4,208 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 45,940 lots.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
