RBI receives 1.1 times bids for Rs 25,000 crore LTRO

The RBI on Monday announced it will conduct the fifth tranche of the LTRO for Rs 25,000 crore on March 18, in its bid to secure adequate liquidity to the troubled financial markets.
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday said it has received bids to the tune of 1.1 times of the notified amount of Rs 25,000 crore with a 3-year tenor at its long-term repo operations on Wednesday.

The central bank received 21 bids totaling Rs 27,096 crore at its LTROs on Wednesday.

The RBI on Monday announced it will conduct the fifth tranche of the LTRO for Rs 25,000 crore on March 18, in its bid to secure adequate liquidity to the troubled financial markets.


The central bank has already conducted four such operations of Rs 25,000 crore each since February 14 with huge success as the issue has been overbought multiple times.

Earlier this week, it also announced LTROs of Rs 1 lakh crore in multiple tranches at the policy rate.
