“I have lived in the same house in Delhi since my childhood. If there is any space that defines me, it has to be my room in this house. The overall ambience of my room, I would say, is zen-like calm.”
Reflection in contrast “There are a few decorations and furniture I have added to the space, like a poster bed designed by me, a Nathdwara painting in a double edge frame that makes it look pretty. I also have a stunning photograph of the Paris skyline shot by Amit Pasricha. They are different from each other, but appealing. I guess that’s who I am and this contrast, I feel, reflects my personality.”

“Since I have lived here from childhood, this space is full of memories. It gives me a sense of belonging and happiness. I find that large and grand places can sometimes be surprisingly empty because they lack memories and associations.”
One thing my den would never have… “Though I have a few work gadgets in my room, I don’t have a TV or a PC. I prefer a separate TV lounge and workspace so that the room you relax, pray, meditate and sleep in remains a calm place. It should have a detox ecosystem for me and my inner self.”
If I could invite anyone… “I don’t like people coming into my room and rarely let people in. Just one or two close friends can drop in, but most of the time I like being alone here.
