Xiaomi brings Mi A2 to India at Rs 16,999; pre-booking begins tomorrow

The smartphone will come in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Lake Blue colour variants.

Xiaomi Mi A2: Unboxing & First Impression
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday expanded its Android One line-up in India by bringing its Mi A2 to the country. The phone was launched at a global event in Spain last month.

Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain introduced the company's new phone at an event.

The design, AI-powered cameras, and performance are some of the highlights of the phone. The smartphone come with dual real camera setups, and has a 20-megapixel front camera with a soft-LED flash.



Unlike other Xiaomi phones which run on MIUI, it will run on stock Anroid 8.1 Oreo. It will also get the Android Pie update and will also support Android's new gesture-based update with that comes with the update.

It will come in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Lake Blue colour variants.

The Mi A2 is the successor of the Mi A1 smartphone launched last year in India as the first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi.

The Mi A2 is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is expected to come to India at a later date.

You can pre-order the phone starting tomorrow from 12 p.m. onwards on Amazon.in and Mi.com. It goes on sale on August 16.

There is also a launch offer for Jio customers, who will get 4.5TB complimentary data and Rs. 2,200 instant cashback.
