A woman aged 92 revealed how, at her old age, she has more strength in her joints
Age is just a number for grandma Rose. Taking to Instagram, the influencer shared a video of her performing push-ups and squats on her 92nd birthday. She was seen doing push-ups while lifting weight in front of an enormous cake with ease. In another video she was seen walking on the treadmill. She revealed in the caption that this ease and flexibility did not come easy to her, and she had to work for it. She admitted she ate wrong, was lethargic and led a sedentary life when she was in her 60s.

The Grand Turnaround

Gradually, she decided to make her life healthier by incorporating small habits – a small walk, a glass of lemon water, and squatting while holding the kitchen counter for support. This was in her 60s, and she continued these habits for over 30 years. She had more strength in her limbs at 92 than she had at 60.

She also revealed some more habits she follows to lead a healthy life.

Instead of just wanting to look better, she concentrates on increasing her physical strength. Push-ups, squats and rows are among the activities in her routine that help maintain muscle and keep her legs strong enough to carry out daily tasks without support.

Before eating anything else, she starts her mornings with a glass of warm water infused with lemon. She believes that controlling inflammation can help preserve energy levels and joint mobility as she ages, and she incorporates turmeric into her morning regimen. To help with absorption, black pepper is also included in the turmeric supplement she takes.

Because maintaining muscle mass is crucial for being independent in later life, she makes sure that every meal includes a source of protein. She also includes balance exercises in her regimen. She pushes herself to stand on one leg as she waits for her tea to brew, which helps increase stability and lower the chance of falls.

She also avoids sitting down for extended periods of time. She prefers to stay physically active throughout the day by walking, climbing stairs, or finding other easy opportunities.

Since she believes that rest is crucial for the body's healing and rebuilding, getting enough sleep is equally vital in her routine.

Rather than allowing her age to limit her, she continues to exercise according to the needs of her 90s. Her goal is not to recreate the physical abilities she had at 30 but to remain capable of handling everyday responsibilities independently, including doing her own grocery shopping at 92.

According to Healthline, the turmeric and black pepper combination is very powerful and can reduce chronic inflammation. Curcuminoids are the main constituents of turmeric. The most potent and seemingly most significant component is curcumin itself.

Curcumin is a polyphenol with a number of health benefits. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal qualities in addition to being a potent antioxidant.

However, curcumin's poor absorption by the body is one of its biggest drawbacks. Piperine, a bioactive chemical found in black pepper, is an alkaloid similar to capsaicin, the active ingredient in cayenne and chilli powder.

Piperine contains anti-inflammatory qualities and has been demonstrated to aid with migraines, nausea, and poor digestion.

However, its capacity to increase curcumin absorption might be its greatest advantage. It has been demonstrated that piperine possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic qualities.

It aids in desensitising a particular pain receptor in your body, which might lessen suffering even more.
