The entire setup is metal which gives us the feeling that it’s built to last. There are 7 individual components that can be quickly assembled and mounted on any desk. Once set up, you can mount any smartphone and microphone (the adjustable arm has a smartphone clamp and microphone holder). The design is clever: microphone placement is much lower than the smartphone clamp. This means you can record video without the microphone being in the frame. You also get a fabric pop filter that blocks out low-frequency bumps in speech. WK Mobile Recording Studio We used the mobile studio with a WT-K10 microphone from the same company (Rs 2,700 additional). It’s compatible with multiple apps and works with both Android and iOS devices. It has a double metal mesh head and there are options for echo control and noise reduction. We found that it records excellent quality audio. In a surprising twist, the microphone also doubles up as a Bluetooth speaker. This means you can use it for Karaoke as well as to make announcements at a party if the need arises. It has a rechargeable 1,800mAh battery which gives you several hours of audio recording. If the battery runs out, you can use the mic with an aux-cable.
WK Mobile Recording Studio The biggest advantage with this whole setup is that you can disassemble and take it anywhere. It fits in any backpack. If you don’t have too much to spend on a simple recording setup, this is a great place to start.
