Headphone holography is the next big thing in audio. The tech promises an audio experience that’s capable of delivering an extremely realistic soundstage on a standard over-ear headphone. Digital entertainment product company Creative Technology recently announced the Super X-Fi headphone holography platform.
The Super X-Fi recreates the soundstage of a multi-speaker surround system in a pair of headphones and personalises it by scanning the user’s head and ears so that the custom-fit audio experience becomes natural.

The company’s latest addition to its product range that demonstrates the technology is the SXFI Air series headphones. The SXFI Air is a Bluetooth and USB headphone with Super X-Fi and other innovative features. It comes with 50mm Neodymium drivers that are tuned to deliver audio that is powerful while maintaining accuracy.
The result is a music experience where audio sounds natural, not the suffocating sound pumped directly into your ears. Super X-Fi will also transform your videos into a cinematic audio experience.
Other features
The SXFI Air features a microphone that allows you to take calls on your phone and communicate with friends. The microphone has the same audio recording capabilities as a full-sized multimedia headset microphone and is also detachable.

The headphone can also play music without relying on a source device. Insert a microSD card pre-loaded with your favourite songs into the SXFI Air and you can enjoy the audio holography experience.
