Who is Ritesh Pal? He won India’s Best Dancer Season 5, took home Rs 15 lakh. Reveals what he will do with prize money

India's Best Dancer Season 5 winner has been announced, and it's none other than Ritesh Pal. The 19-year-old boy from Raipur bagged the trophy with choreographer Pratik Utekar. He clinched the trophy after beating fellow finalists, including Anshika Dhara, Geetanjali Marwaha, Prathamesh Mane and Dipali Borkar in the Grand Finale.

He took home prize money of Rs 15 lakh.

Who is Ritesh Pal

The 19-year-old dancer is from Raipur, India, and previously worked as a barber. Ritesh made a mark on the show with his energetic performances and ability to take on different dance styles. During the season, he won the Battle trophy three times and continued to challenge himself with every performance.


His journey also saw him move beyond his comfort zone and experiment with different forms of dance. His versatility and stage presence earned him praise throughout the competition.



Reacting to his victory, Ritesh said that dance has always been his passion and winning the fifth season was a dream come true. He further added, "I feel truly fortunate to be a part of this journey with Sony Entertainment Television. India Wala Dance pushed me beyond my comfort zone and helped me grow as a performer. I am grateful to Karisma Ma’am, Jaaved Sir, Geeta Maa and Terence Sir for their guidance, with Geeta Maa holding a special place in my heart."


Ritesh also expressed gratitude towards his choreographer Pratik Utekar for believing in him throughout the competition. He said that the experience and lessons from his fellow contestants made the journey even more memorable.

What will Ritesh do with the Rs 15 lakh prize money?

After winning the show, Ritesh revealed that he already has plans for his prize money. Speaking to Mid-Day, he said his biggest priority is to build a house for his mother.

Ritesh said, "I want to make a house for my mom. I want to name that house Haridarshan. For that, I will collect more money, and I will also include this money in it and make that home for her."

Who were the finalists?

Ritesh and Pratik competed against Dipali Borkar, Prathamesh Mane, Anshika Dhara and Geetanjali Marwaha in the finale.

The Grand Finale also featured several special appearances. Judges Karisma Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis were present for the season finale. Actors Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sidharth Malhotra also joined the celebrations as special guests.
