Vivek Oberoi’s 'attitude' once hurt Bollywood choreographer Bosco Martis after actor became famous. What changed his perspective?

Vivek Oberoi is one of the renowned actors in the industry. The actor rose to fame in 2002 after his performance in Ram Gopal Varma's Company, which earned him overnight critical acclaim. Then, months later, he gave a massive box office hit, Saathiya, alongside Rani Mukerji. Two different characters instantly won hearts and made him one of the most promising young actors of the early 2000s. Ever since then, he has just added feathers to his cap with performances. Recently, choreographer Bosco Martis recalled feeling hurt by the Ramayana actor's attitude after the actor became famous.

How did Vivek Oberoi hurt choreographer Bosco Martis?

During a candid chat on Bosco’s YouTube channel, BLM Entertainment, Vivek Oberoi opened up about how he ensures to keep his professional relationships separate from his personal relationships. In the same conversation, Bosco recalled, "First, Company happened, and then Saathiya came along shortly after. I don’t want anyone to take what I am about to say the wrong way… I called Vivek during this period, after a very long time."




The choreographer further added, "I said, ‘Vivek, I want to do a song with you.’ You said, ‘Yes, we should definitely do it,’ and then you added, ‘Work out the creatives and give me a breakdown.’ Although I agreed, I felt hurt thinking about why you said that with so much attitude. However, I eventually realised you were absolutely right. I am going to a star who has worked so hard to reach a certain level. I am a choreographer, and if I am approaching a star, I have to be prepared about how I can position him."

After learning about this, Vivek further added, "Work is work, right? Kaam ko dosti aur yaari se alag hi rakhna chahiye (Work should be kept separate from friendship and camaraderie). You can’t take it for granted. If you do that, you will fall soon."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vivek Oberoi is gearing up for the release of Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited movie Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. The movie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6. Produced by Namit Malhotra, Part 2 of the movie is planned to be released in 2027.
