It may not have been the same as watching the match live in Russia, but it was the second best viewing option. On his recent Europe trip, Sasha Mirchandani managed to catch the Portugal versus Spain game in a small Portuguese town, Algarve.
For the Kae Capital MD, it was an “amazing experience”. It helped that he loves the national team and wasn’t cheering for Portugal by default. Luckily, the outcome of this first group stage match between the two teams — a draw — didn’t dampen spirits.
“No, it was not [a dampener] as it was a draw which is a great result for Portugal as Spain was a much better team. It was due to Ronaldo’s three goals, that they [Portugal] managed to draw,” Mirchandani said.
