They may be thousands of miles away from the university where they spent their formative years, but nothing diminishes the love which the Purdue University alumni in India have for their alma mater. They simply couldn’t miss a chance to hear some of the illustrious graduates of the American university and bond over stories from the good old days.
At the International Ideas Festival hosted a couple of weeks back in Mumbai, Purdue alumni in India gathered to hear about big ideas. The possibility of life on Mars, artificial intelligence, living till the age of 150 years and more were some of the concepts that were spoken of. Speakers included Ambarish Kenghe, senior product director of Google Pay and Vijay Chandru of Strand Life Sciences.

Habil Khorakiwala of Wockhardt had a front row seat at the conference. As did GVK’s Sanjay Reddy, who hosted a post-event alumni do for some more focused networking. The afternoon was well worth the flight that several present had taken to attend the Mumbai event.
