When Mobikwik's Bipin Preet Singh came forward to support Kunal Bahl's plans for Snapdeal 2.0
For a few months now, the startup universe in India has lapped up every scrap of news about a possible takeover of Delhi-based e-commerce platform Snapdeal by rival Flipkart. Earlier this week, the drama reached its conclusion, with Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal pulling the plug on the sale talks. Simultaneously, they spoke of their plans for a 2.0 version of the company.

While the jury is still out on the outcome of the decision, support from the community is pouring in. Mobikwik CEO Bipin Preet Singh has been one of the supporters.

He tweeted after the news broke, “I believe @1kunalbahl can pull off Snapdeal 2.0 . More competition is good for the market!” Bahl responded to the tweet with a simple, “Thanks”. But one can assume, that in the current situation, any show of good faith by industry peers won’t go unappreciated. It’s more wind for the sails of the entrepreneur’s dreams.
