According to a report in Times Now, ED has seized 4 mobile handsets, 2 of Rhea, 1 each of Showik & their father.
In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and father Indrajit Chakraborty's mobile phones. According to a report in Times Now, ED has seized 4 mobile handsets, 2 of Rhea, 1 each of Showik & their father. 2 iPads & 1 laptop have also been seized. All the gadgets will now be sent for forensic examination, as per sources.

The ED has also said that Chakraborty's response is 'not satisfactory'. In another development, Rajput's former business manager, Shruti Modi, and actor's friend, Siddharth Pithani, are being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in its Mumbai office. Pithani, who is also Rajput's friend, happened to be the first responder on the scene when the actor was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14.

This is the third time that both Pithani and Modi are appearing before the central agency. The ED had recorded their statements earlier on Monday and last Friday as well.

On July 31, the ED lodged a case under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act (PMLA) for what it termed “suspicious transactions” referring to the financial transactions conducted by Rhea who was in a relationship with Rajput at the time of his death.

In another development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, a new WhatsApp conversation between the late actor's father, KK Singh, his girlfriend, Rhea and his ex-manager, Shruti has come to light.

According to Times Now, which has exclusively accessed the WhatsApp message dated November 29 , 2019, KK Singh is seen making an attempt to reach out to his son through Rhea and Shruti.

In a message to Shruti, the 'Kedarnath' actor's father can be seen expressing his desire to visit Mumbai and even requested her to book his tickets. “Ab tum bat nahi kar rahi ho to main Mumbai jana chahta hun. Fli ka ticket bhek do (now that you are not talking, I want to come to Mumbai. Please send me flight tickets)," read a line in the message.

However, the screenshots now made public do not reveal if the messages were acknowledged either by Rhea or Shruti.

The messages have surfaced hours before the Supreme Court hearing of Rhea's plea to transfer KK Singh's FIR from Bihar to Patna.

In another sensational development which took place on Monday night, Rajput's family, in their statement to the CBI, had alleged 'murder' and not 'abetment to suicide' as the cause of Rajput's death. According to a report in Times Now, Sushant's father, KK Singh and sister said that the central investigative agency should investigate the case as a 'murder'.

The recent developments in the case, media reports and the evidence being allegedly 'destroyed', could have played a role in the family's decision.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recorded the statement of the late actor's father and his family on Monday at the residence of his son-in-law, OP Singh, who is the commissioner of Faridabad. As per the reports on the channel, the CBI will also go through the statements recorded by the Bihar police in Mumbai.

The developments come a day after Chakraborty approached the Supreme Court against an 'unfair media trial' and said that the media was 'blowing out of proportions' the investigation into Rajput's death. In her plea, Chakraborty cited the suicide of two other actors in the last one month and how "there is not even a whisper about those particular cases". She claimed that she is being 'unfairly targeted'.

Chakraborty, in her affidavit, recorded "no objection if the Supreme Court refers the matter to CBI by its order."

Meanwhile, the apex court is scheduled to hear Chakraborty's plea to transfer case from Patna to Mumbai today.
