What do urban Indian women want? Here are some answers
What do the urban Indian women dream of? What does freedom mean? A survey conducted among urban women shows a shift in concerns — from home to herself.

This is the great shift — from home to herself. This is one of the revelations of a survey conducted by Sheroes — a social networking platform for women with about 2 million members — exclusively for ET Magazine. The typical profile of a Sheroes member is an urban woman between the ages of 20 and 35.
And, what does freedom mean to them? An overwhelming majority (75 per cent ) say freedom is about living life on their own terms — that is an uncompromising declaration of selfhood. Their biggest worries are related to work and careers and how to balance their personal and professional lives.

While 44 per cent say marriage is very important, 38 per cent put slightly less emphasis on it. And when it does come to marriage, over 50 per cent say marriage is important because they need love and companionship.
About 38 per cent shrug off the question, “What’s the worst thing about being a woman?” and affirm that being a woman is awesome.

Methodology: The survey was conducted on Sheroes.com where 900 women responded to a detailed questionnaire
