Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always wowed legions of fans with her ethereal beauty and magnetic screen presence. Recently Chiyaan Vikram, her co-star in the upcoming magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I (PS: I) has also admitted he is a member of the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fan club!

The ‘Cobra’ actor recently confessed that he was awed by Bachchan’s screen presence and work ethic while working with her. “It’s an honest confession. She dances so beautifully and it is beautiful in motion, whenever she dances. I am one of her fans, and it’s always a great pleasure to work with her. Aish has always been symbolic of the picture of perfection we look up to. I have always seen her films, and it wasn’t just about her movies and her beauty, it’s about what she stood for. She is always being watched, she always needs to be perfect, and she has done it in style, ’’ he was quoted as saying at a pre-release press conference.

The ‘Raavanan’ actor confessed he was bowled over by her poise the first time he saw her. “She didn’t win the ‘Miss Universe’ title yet, and I was still a struggling actor. As she got in, her dress got stuck around her feet and she stumbled. I thought she would fall on her face. But although she stumbled, she quickly regained her poise, and did whatever she had to do with utmost grace. I remember thinking that this person is going to go places.”

‘PS:I’ will be the second time Bachchan and Vikram come together for a film. Earlier they had worked together for the 2010 action-adventure movie ‘Raavanan’ (also directed by Mani Ratnam) . The historical drama also marks the reunion of Ratnam and Bachchan after 12 years. The film is slated to have a worldwide release on September 30, 2022. It will be released in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The music will be composed by ace composer A.R Rahman.
