Kingdom is now streaming on Netflix, and while Vijay Deverakonda commands the screen, it’s actress Bhagyashri Borse who is also turning heads with her powerful performance. After a small role in Yaariyan 2 and Mr Bachchan, Bhagyashri makes a striking impression in her first major release alongside the Arjun Reddy star. The 26-year-old might be new to the spotlight, but her journey into films has been years in the making. Here’s everything to know about this promising actress.

Who is Bhagyashri Borse?

Bhagyashri Borse spent a major part of her childhood abroad. Talking to Glute, the actress shared that she lived for seven years in Lagos, Nigeria, where she completed her schooling. Speaking about her experience, Bhagyashri described Nigeria as a “mini India,” thanks to its vibrant mix of cultures and communities.

A passionate sports enthusiast during her school years, Bhagyashri actively played basketball, football, long jump, kho-kho, and more in school . She often credits sports for building her discipline and focus, qualities that later helped in her acting career. After returning to Mumbai, she pursued a degree in business management (BMS) in Maharashtra, while also pursuing modelling on the side, at the age of 19.


Her entry into the entertainment world began with modelling. She featured in several campaigns, but it was her appearance in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk commercial that earned her national recognition. The ad’s popularity gave her visibility and opened doors to film opportunities.

Bhagyashri made cameo appearances in Yaariyan 2 (2023) and Chandu Champion (2024), which served as her initial steps into Bollywood. She later debuted in the Telugu film industry with Mr. Bachchan (2024), opposite Ravi Teja. Although the film didn’t do well at the box office, she stood out for dubbing her own Telugu dialogues, earning praise for her dedication and sincerity.

In 2025, her career took a sharp upward turn with Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Kingdom. Playing Dr. Madhu, a key character opposite Vijay Deverakonda, Bhagyashri impressed viewers and critics alike with her emotional depth and screen presence.

She isn’t slowing down anytime soon. On the work front, Bhagyashri is currently filming Andhra King Taluka (2025). She is all set for the release of her next film Kaantha with Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati as the producer. The movie is going to release on September 12, 2025.
