A day after late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti requested the actor’s fans to stand together and demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into her brother’s death, several Bollywood stars including Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon and Sooraj Pancholi, among others, have come out and demanded a CBI probe for Rajput.
The clamour for a CBI probe has grown louder, two months after the ‘Kedarnath’ actor was found hanging at his Bandra residence. In an Instagram story, Varun Dhawan wrote ‘#cbiforSSR’ followed by a folded hands emoji. Parineeti Chopra, on the other hand, wrote ‘All that is needed, is the truth, #JusticeForSSR’.
B-Town stars call for CBI inquiry for Rajput.
Sooraj Pancholi wrote a message on his story, hoping that the actor’s family gets the closure that they need. ‘They need to know what actually happened, and the World needs to know too! #CBIForSSR’, wrote Pancholi.
On Thursday, actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been critical about the way the Mumbai Police has handled the probe into the late actor’s death, posted a video with ‘#CBIForSSR’ written on a placard.
‘Mumbai police wants to rush the probe, Sanjay Raut saying they are almost done with the investigation, we deserve to know the truth,’ Ranaut captioned the video.

Actress Kriti Sanon, who has starred with Rajput in the 2017 film ‘Raabta’, too, took to Instagram on Thursday and wrote, “I Pray that the truth comes out SOON..His family, his friends, fans and all loved ones deserve this closure.. I hope and pray that the CBI takes over the case so that it’s investigating without any political agendas, in the TRUE sense, to provide justice to the family!! Its high time his soul rests in peace! #CBIForSSR #SushantSinghRajput”.
Kriti Sanon, too, called for a CBI inquiry. Rajput’s former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande also took to Instagram and shared a video, asking for #CBIForSSR.
On Thursday, Rajput’s sister had shared a 43-second video on Twitter, in which she said, 'I request everyone to stand together and demand for CBI inquiry for Sushant'.

The apex court is expected to issue a verdict today on Rhea Chakraborty's plea. In the court proceedings on Tuesday, the actress’ legal counsel stated that she wasn’t opposed to a CBI probe, and only sought that it be done through the Maharashtra government. The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved the verdict in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and instructed all parties involved to submit their notes by Thursday.
