Anand Mahindra had conducted a poll on Tuesday which predicted a Trump victory.

NEW DELHI: The ongoing US election has been a week-long entertainment for Anand Mahindra.

This week since Tuesday, the Mahindra Group Chairman shared daily updates and insights about America's confusing electoral system, its craze over IPL, and even US President Donald Trump's astrological charts.

On Thursday, Mahindra drew out comparison between the US and India elections. While he felt India's electoral process has been a unifying force despite divisions in religion, caste and ethnicity, he found the US electoral system confusing which was deepening the divide.

"The polarisation in the US has only recently become so stark and visible," his post on social media read.

When the Covid pandemic and lockdown dampened people's excitement, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was announced to cheer them up. And for the longest time, the business tycoon thought nothing could take over the IPL mania. But he said he was 'wrong'. "The US electoral process takes that crown," he wrote.

The billionaire boss spent his Wednesday analysing Trump's astrological charts. Sharing a picture of the forecast that was doing the messaging circuit last week, Mahindra stressed that the astrologer will become famous if President Trump manages to retain office. He concealed the name and address of the astrologer for the sake of privacy.

Moreover, the 65-year-old businessman also conducted a 'late night' poll on Tuesday, asking his 8.2 million followers who between the Republican Trump and Democratic contender Joe Biden they think will win the US elections.

After a little less than 24 hours, Mahindra posted the poll results which predicted a Trump victory. "The race still seems too close to decide if they were right," the auto boss wrote.

Currently, Biden is ahead of Trump by a thin margin. The Republic and Democratic supporters are waiting with bated breath for the final results.
