Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant and Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant's daughter Radhika exchanged rings in a star-studded affair at 'Antilia' last week.
The grand engagement ceremony saw the who's who of Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan in attendance.
The internet has been buzzing with pictures and videos of the celebrations. During the weekend, unseen pictures of Reliance Retail Director and Anant's sister Isha Ambani Piramal went viral on social media.
The new mother of twins opted for a pastel green lehenga with gold floral motifs across the outfit. The Anamika Khanna ensemble featured gold tassels on the waist and an intricately embroidered neckline. She completed her look with chunky diamond and emerald jewellery.
It was unclear which function she wore the outfit to, but fans assumed it was for the pre-engagement mehendi night.
Celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda took to Instagram to share pictures with Reliance Foundation founder Nita Ambani and businesswoman Deepti Salgaocar, who is also Reliance Industries Limited Chairman's sister.
While Mrs Ambani dazzled in a red-navy blue ethnic outfit with gold embroidery, her sister-in-law kept it classy in a pink-yellow salwar suit with heavy embellishments.
Another video of the Ambanis warmly welcoming the soon-to-be bride to the family with a special dance performance on the song 'Wah Wah Ram Ji' from the 1994 film 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' has also become an Internet sensation.
In the dance video, Mukesh-Nita can be seen dancing in the centre, as her elder son Akash along with his wife Shloka Mehta shake a leg on one side and daughter Isha with her husband Anand Piramal on another.
The lyrics of the song were altered to include the names of the couple. Anant wore a blue kurta pyjama with a matching Nehru jacket, while Radhika donned a golden lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the ceremony.
The couple has known each other for a few years. A family statement implied that the wedding will take place in the coming months.
Anant has completed his studies at Brown University in the US and has since served at Reliance industries in various capacities including as a member on the Boards of Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail Ventures. He currently leads the energy business of RIL.
Radhika hails from Kutch, Gujarat. She has trained in Bharatnatyam for eight years and is the disciple of Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts.
