Anant Ambani & Radhika Merchant engagement a starry affair! Katrina, DeepVeer, Ash mark attendance

It was a starry turnout at the lavish engagement party of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant and Viren Merchant, Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant's daughter Radhika on Thursday evening.

Bollywood A-listers marked their attendance at the grand celebration at the private Ambani residence 'Antilia' in Mumbai.

The star-studded event saw Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar, among others.


Bollywood superstar SRK took a break from his 'Pathaan' promotions to bless the happy couple on their special day. The actor was accompanied by his wife Gauri and son Aryan.

Although the 'Chak De India' actor tried to keep the shutterbugs away, he was snapped entering 'Antilia' in a traditional black outfit. On the other hand, Khan Jr posed with his mother in an all-black suit. Gauri dazzled in a silver lehenga.

Power couple DeepVeer turned heads as they walked in hand-in-hand for the engagement ceremony.

The 'Piku' star was a vision in a red saree with a sleek bun, and Singh opted for a navy blue shimmery asymmetrical sherwani.

Rai Bachchan, along with her daughter Aaradhya, also waved at the shutterbugs stationed outside 'Antilia'. The mother-daughter duo opted for ethnic outfits.

Kumar, Kaif and KJo arrived solo at the event. While Kumar donned a maroon sherwani, the director-producer opted for an all-black sherwani with a colourful shawl on his shoulder.

Kaif looked beautiful in a white Indo-western outfit.

The 'Brahmastra' director Ayan Mukerji also arrived at the grand celebration in a maroon pyjama kurta along with a matching Nehru jacket. 'Atrangi Re' actress Sara Ali Khan arrived with designer Manish Malhotra in an off-white lehenga.

Actor Varun Dhawan looked stylish in an all-black kurta-pyjama with a matching shimmery cut-sleeve jacket. He was accompanied by his wife Natasha Dalal, who wore a light pink lehenga.

Arjun walked in with his producer-father Boney Kapoor also arrived at the engagement ceremony.

The starry guest list also included singer Shreya Ghoshal, actor John Abraham, and actress Neetu Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Anant-Radhika exchanged rings after the traditional Gujarati engagement ceremonies like Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi. They have known each other for a few years and the wedding is expected to take place in the coming months.

After the engagement ceremony, the couple posed for the shutterbugs with the Ambani family.

Anant completed his studies at Brown University in the USA and has since served at Reliance Industries in various capacities including as a member on the boards of Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail Ventures. He currently leads the energy business of RIL.
