Ubon BT5750 Light Up Bluetooth Headphones review: Volume output is loud, bass effect is good

Ubon has been marketing gadget accessories since 1999. The latest in their headphone portfolio is the BT-5750 Light Up over the ear Bluetooth headphones. What makes them unique are the built-in LED lights in the earcups.
These lights can be turned on/off with the press of a button – when switched on, the lights change colour automatically. This light effect makes the headphone look cool but at the same time its also a function that we don’t see a lot of users keeping on while moving around.
We found that while the earcups and headband have a good amount of soft padding, the headphones were not comfortable to wear for long hours. Audio output is where the headphones feel lacking – while the volume output is surprisingly loud, it lacks clarity at volume level above 70% and sounds tend to become distorted.
Bass effect is good but again, once you cross 70% volume, the bass overpowers the treble and vocals. Battery life is its strong point – with volume level at 50%, we were able to get over 12 hours of battery life on a single charge with the LED lights off.
At the time of writing, the headphones are available for Rs 2,499 which makes them a good deal but do keep in mind that you have multiple options available in this price range from brands like Skullcandy, SoundLogic, and Boat.
