'Truth is incontrovertible.' Shilpa Shetty lends support to husband Raj Kundra after he denies producing or distributing porn films

Businessman Raj Kundra, who was arrested in a porn films case earlier this year and later released on bail, recently broke his silence on the matter, denying his involvement in producing or distributing adult films.

Kundra, who is married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, called the entire episode a "witch hunt".

Shetty showed support to her businessman husband on Twitter. Reposting a story on Kundra's statement which was released on Monday, the actress said that the "truth is incontrovertible."


The 'Dhadkan' star further added that "Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” Shetty was quoting Winston Churchill, former Prime Minister of United Kingdom.


In July this year, Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police in a porn films case where he was accused of distributing pornographic content through an app. The businessman was granted bail in September.

Kundra had been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act and the Information Technology Act for allegedly distributing/ transmitting sexually explicit videos.

In a statement released on Monday, the 46-year-old said that, “After much contemplation, considering there are many misleading and irresponsible statements and articles floating around and my silence has been misconstrued for weakness. I would like to start by stating that I have NEVER been involved in the production and distribution of “pornography” EVER in my life."

"This whole episode has been nothing but a witch hunt. The matter is subjudice so I can not elucidate, but I am ready to face trial and have full faith in the judiciary, where the truth will prevail."

The businessman further said that the media has already pronounced him guilty.

"The trolling, negativity and toxic public perception has been very debilitating. To set the record straight, I do not hide my face in shame, but wish that my privacy is not intruded anymore with this continued MEDIA TRIAL. My priority has always been my family, nothing else matters at this juncture," he said.
