Trolls, no more! Robin CEO Punit Soni’s social media posts 'devoid of complete expression'
Almost everyone who is on social media today must have fallen prey to online trolls – especially if they are the kind to voice strong opinions. Punit Soni, the former chief product officer of Flipkart and currently the CEO of Robin, took to a social media platform to discuss trolling and the lack of nuanced conversations due to their menace.

“A lot of social media is platform for discussions bereft of the kind of empathy and nuance that an in-person conversation has. You first get trolled for something you didn’t mean, then have no way of explaining yourself without finding yourself shouting into ether, and finally you wonder why you spoke in the first place,” he shared.

Being critical of his own cautious posts, Soni felt they “lacked strong opinions” and were “devoid of his complete expression”. He also wondered whether social media was the right platform to voice opinions.

“All points of views needs nuance and empathy to connect...something that is hard to get in this play of black and white pixels on a flat screen,” Soni wrote.

Wise observations.
