“Gym sessions are a part of the team schedule. Apart from that, I have my personal schedule especially during our rest day. I’m working hard on my lower body to gain strength. Since there is a lot of load on our legs, we do special workouts so that we can have the strength to run continuously through matches. The most important muscles for us are the calves, quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes, so we do leg press and squats. We also do a lot of exercises for the core using a medicine ball. Our trainers feel that each player’s body is different, so each of us has individual exercise sets. I am also working on my passing skills as this is very important in the game. As a team, we are working on man-to-man marking and also our game structure.”
