Tim Apple, who? When Donald Trump forgot the Apple CEO's name

What happens when you are the CEO of a trillion-dollar tech giant? Do people forget your name? Brace yourself, this happened.

At an American Workforce Policy Advisory Board meeting yesterday, US President Donald Trump referred to Apple CEO, Tim Cook as Tim Apple. Although, Trump claimed that he and Cook are friends now, he soon forgot the name of his new friend.

While Cook was talking about teaching kids programming in high school, “We believe strongly that it should be a requirement in the United States for every kid to have coding before they graduate from K-12” and “to become somewhat proficient at it,”.




The President responded by saying, “People like Tim — you’re expanding all over and doing things that I really wanted you to do right from the beginning. I used to say, ‘Tim, you gotta start doing it here,’ and you really have you’ve really put a big investment in our country. We really appreciate it very much, Tim Apple."

This is not the first time that Trump has flubbed with the names of top executives. Earlier, last year he introduced Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson as 'Marillyn Lockheed'. Lockheed Martin Corporation is an American aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company which was founded in 1995 when Lockheed Corporation merged with Martin Marietta.



Trump is also famous for referring to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos as 'Jeff Bozo', thanks to his stakes in 'The Washington Post', which often reports critically on the Trump administration.

While the episode has left many baffled, it is not known yet, whether Trump did this deliberately or was it just a Freudian slip?
