Sumera has now become an Internet sensation as many drew inspiration from his story.

Tushar Sumera, a 2012 batch IAS, is district collector of Bharuch in Gujarat. The picture, which was shared on Twitter by Awanish Sharan, a 2009 batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, shows that Sumera scored only 35 marks in English, 36 in Mathematics and 38 in Science.
Sumera has now become an Internet sensation as many drew inspiration from his story. The photo of the marksheet was originally shared by motivator Shailesh Sagpariya, who had asked Sumera to provide an image of his class X result where he had got the least marks in two important subjects.
"Sagpariya knows me and he has been giving my example to students often that how with hard work, one can overcome the limitations," Sumera told the Times of India in an interview.
When Sharan shared Sumera's report card, he said that he scored only passing marks in class 10 board exams. "Out of 100, he got only 35 in English and 36 in Maths. Not only in the entire village but also at his school, he was told that he can't do anything," the senior officer wrote on Twitter as he shared Sumera's marksheet.
