This boss makes it a productive lockdown with webinars and Jeffery Archer

Sunil Agarwal, Director of Vinod Cookware is an outdoor person. Accepting the fact that the great outdoor workout is off limits for some time, he has designed his own fix of indoor activities.

The cookware brand boss told ET Panache, "I have taken up yoga. Unlike the myth that yoga does not match up to the cardio exercises, it is quite fulfilling and also holistic to my body needs. It has not only kept me fit and stress free, but has also helped me boost my concentration.Yoga accompanied with a healthy diet is the secret to my fitness routine during this lockdown period."

Agarwal starts his day every morning with some yoga. "I practice a lot of aasanas that help the body stay fit, and also regain body – mind balance. Kapalbharti has been quite dominant in my daily routine, an effective practice for releasing excess fat, burning calories and reducing belly fat. The rapid and rhythmic movements help strengthen the muscles. Apart from this, I also practice Bhujanaasana because of my back history," he explained.


The Vinod Cookware director has started participating in several virtual events along with webinars which have been happening. "Virtual activations have become the new normal for the industry. I have been connecting with a lot of people over the last few weeks. The interactive panel discussions have helped me gear up for the crisis situation, along with key learnings from the Covid-19 outbreak," he shared.

Agarwal has always been an avid reader. He said, "Reading, declutters your mind, and soothes the muscles. I have made sure to read as much as I can during this lockdown. My favorite books are ‘Fountainhead, The Art of War’ by Sun Tzu and a lot of Jeffery Archer books. I also love spending time with family and so we participate together in activities like karaoke jamming sessions and even playing cards."

There has been a lot of learning for Agarwal through the lockdown. "I have learnt first, go with the flow, don’t escape. Next, breathe into discomfort and learn to embrace it just like the aasanas in yoga, which seem difficult in the beginning and then your body adapts to it," he ended.
