'Thank you for being the bedrock of the family': Tina Ambani wishes mother-in-law Kokilaben on her birthday

The former actress described her as "an incredible blend of tradition and modernism."

Tina Ambani, chairperson of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, on Wednesday, took to social media to pen a heart-warming note for her mother-in-law Kokilaben on the matriarch's 87th birthday.

The former actress, who is married to the younger Ambani brother Anil, said her mother-in-law continues to "guide, inspire and motivate us in all that we do. "

Describing her as a role model across generations, Tina Ambani - a regular on Instagram - said Kokilaben Ambani was a source of strength and support.


Posting a series picture of pictures of the family on the app, Mrs. Ambani called her mother-in-law "an incredible blend of tradition and modernism, a woman I continue to learn from, each day."

"Thank you Mummy for being the bedrock of the family. On your birthday, we wish you health, happiness and love in abundance!," she ended the caption.

Dhirubhai Ambani's entrepreneurial journey began when his family relocated to Mumbai due to political turbulence in Aden. Having returned to India around 1958, the family initially stayed in a chawl in the Bhuleshwar neighbourhood of then-Bombay.

It was there that Dhirubhai Ambani began his first business, trading spices, under the name Reliance Commercial Corporation.
