Holidays today may be far more glamorous and luxurious for Tanya Dubash, the oldest of industrialist Adi Godrej’s three children. But in the simpler times of childhood, she entailed running around the idyllic landscapes of Kashmir with her friends.

Dubash was speaking at an event hosted by her childhood friend Farah Ali Khan in Mumbai. She shared the fond memory of spending her holidays with Khan and her siblings, Simone, Sussanne and Zayed at their aunt’s home in Kashmir.

Of course, this gang of girls, neighbours back home in suburban Juhu in Mumbai, dominated the holiday. And “poor Zayed,” sometimes the only boy around, would get dragged about. Happy times all over.

Romantic as it may sound, Diana later revealed that it was anything but. Charles reportedly carried with him a picture of Camilla Parker-Bowles with him in his personal diary on their trip. Also, for formal events during their honeymoon, Charles wore a pair of gold cufflinks with the letter ‘C’ engraved – presumably for Camilla.
