'Tanhaji' now tax-free in Uttar Pradesh; Ajay Devgn thanks CM Yogi Adityanath

The former Miss World is set to follow the path of former beauty queens Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra as she makes her entry into Bollywood. The 22-year-old has signed the dotted line - after months of speculation - and will make her dream debut opposite Akshay Kumar.

Chhillar, who was studying to be a doctor before being crowned Miss India in 2017, will star in Chandrapakash Dwivedi’s period-drama ‘Prithviraj’. The Yash Raj Films project will see Kumar essay the role of King Prithviraj Chauhan, and Chhillar will play his wife Sanyogita.

Keerthy Suresh had a phenomenal 2019, having earned the National Award for her performance in the Telugu film ‘Mahanati’. And with 2020, the 27-year-old is ready to explore uncharted waters in Bollywood.

The actress will make her B-town debut opposite Ajay Devgn in the sports drama ‘Maidaan’. The biopic, based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, is being directed by Amit Sharma.

Isabelle Kaif is often spotted by elder sis Katrina’s side at B-town events. But it’s not just the Bollywood parties that she’s part of, the 29-year-old - who first appeared in a Canadian rom-com ‘Dr. Cabbie’ - is all set to make her big debut.

While reports of her joining Bollywood with a film opposite Sooraj Pancholi started doing the rounds in 2018, the Stanley D'Costa-directorial is yet to get a release date.

But this hasn’t dampened the younger Kaif's spirit, and she is all set to make her debut with Karan Butani's movie ‘Kwatha’, opposite Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.

The Shetty clan is the latest Bollywood family to see more members join the fraternity. Following in father Suniel and sister Athiya’s footsteps is Ahan Shetty.

The 23-year-old is all set to make his Bollywood debut this year, and will star opposite last year’s debutante Tara Sutaria, in a remake of 2018 Telugu film ‘RX 100’. Titled ‘Tadap’, the action-thriller is being directed by ‘The Dirty Picture’-maker, Milan Luthria.

This 26-year-old actress is not new to the screen. Having tasted success with her debut opposite South star Vijay Devarakonda in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’ that went on to inspire ‘Kabir Singh’, she is now ready for Bollywood.

And if there’s one similarity between her two debuts, it’s the presence of a star co-actor. In B-town, Pandey - who worked in some Tamil and Telugu films after ‘Arjun Reddy’ - has been signed by Yash Raj Films to feature opposite Ranveer Singh in ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’.

Another starkid on the block, Alaya F has Pooja Bedi for a mum, and veteran actor Kabir Bedi as granddad. And now she also has a Bollywood film in the bag.

The New York Film Academy alumna will play Saif Ali Khan’s daughter in his co-production, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’.

The film, directed by Nitin Kakkar, also stars Tabu and is expected to hit the screens on January 31.
