Sundar Pichai comes calling! Mamaearth founder's shout-out for keeping Indian flag high; Twinkle Khanna says she picked up 3 tips from Google boss

Tech titan Sundar Pichai was in town recently for a 'Google For India' event, and his optimistic outlook on most things India has created quite a stir. The Google top boss, who caught up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed support for India's G20 presidency, is confident that the country will make it as a big export economy and roll out unprecedented tech innovations.

Speaking at the 'Google For India' event, Pichai said that there's so much opportunity still ahead. "Glad to be able to see it up close, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit," he said.

Pichai's enthusiasm about India found many fans - with Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh being one of them. The start-up boss, who caught up with the Padma Bhushan winner at a social gathering in the evening, took to LinkedIn to share her fangirl moment. Giving a shout-out to the 50-year-old top boss, she wrote that she was "proud of Indian leaders like Sundar Pichai who are keeping the flag high."

Alagh, who set up Mamaearth in 2016 along with her husband Varun, also borrowed Robert Frost's famous lines - and wrote that she has "much to learn. much to do, miles to go ..." before she gets to sleep, implying that the health and wellness brand still has strides to make.

Twinkle Khanna, too, was floored by the Google boss. The 47-year-old author-cum-designer-cum-entrepreneur termed her interaction with Pichai as "an amazing early Christmas gift." Khanna was in conversation with the IIT-Madras alumnus on the sidelines of the Google event.

In an Instagram post, the former actress posted two pictures and gave a sneak-peek of her conversation with him earlier in the day. Calling him "the iconic CEO of Google", she listed 3 things that she had learnt from him in the course of the discussion. From AI to growing up in India to channelling his energies and keeping his inner werewolf at bay, her chat with Pichai seemed to have covered a wide range.
