Finding a house in Bengaluru is not new to being exhausting, but for one techie it reached a point where it started feeling like a second job. Instead of continuing the usual scrolling and messaging routine, he tried something different. He brought in AI to handle most of the process. Sunal Sood, a senior product designer and design engineer, recently shared on X how he used AI to streamline his house hunt. His post quickly caught attention, not just for the idea but also for how structured and practical the workflow turned out to be.

'House hunting in Bangalore is a full-time job'

Sunal described the problem in simple terms. “House hunting in Bangalore is a full-time job. So I hired an AI.” That one line more or less summed up what many people in the city deal with, especially those trying to avoid brokers and inflated listings.

He went on to break down his process in a step-by-step manner, almost like a guide that others could follow.

How the AI workflow actually worked

Instead of manually checking listings across platforms, he set up an automated system using AI tools.

According to his post, the process started with opening multiple Facebook flat and flatmates groups. From there, an AI tool called Comet was used with detailed prompts based on the kind of house he was looking for. The AI then handled the repetitive work:

  • It scanned multiple Facebook groups for relevant listings
  • It filtered posts from the past month to keep things recent
  • It focused only on “no brokerage” listings
  • It removed spam, fake or irrelevant posts
  • It checked travel time to places that mattered to him
  • It asked for tappable links with contact details
  • It finally delivered a clean, easy-to-read summary

The idea was not just automation, but reducing noise. Instead of going through hundreds of posts, he only saw what matched his needs. The result of this setup was quite direct. “Output: 20 leads → 4 visits → 1 finalised,” he shared.

That kind of conversion is what stood out to many people reading the post. It showed that the system was not just filtering, but actually improving decision-making.

Internet reactions: 'Best use of Comet'

The post also drew reactions from others on X, many of whom seemed impressed.

One user commented, “best use of comet,” to which Sunal replied, “Yes trynna find more use cases.” Another joked about wanting the same help, writing, “Bhai ask it to find me one too atp,” and Sunal responded, “Brb prompting.”

There were also reactions appreciating the outcome. “Mannn! Great find,” one comment read, while another said, “Beautiful house finalised. All the very best with the new stint - god bless.” Some users were simply surprised by the result itself, with comments like “damn crazy home, embassy vibes haha” and “Is this a real house!”
