Kannada actress Srinidhi Shetty, who marked her debut in acting opposite Yash in KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018, is now one of the most sought-after actresses in the South. But before she ventured into acting, she was a model and a beauty pageant title holder. She won the Miss Supranational pageant, making her the second Indian to win the crown. After belting out a hit with KGF franchise, she made her debut opposite Nani in the Telugu movie HIT: The Third Case, which turned out to be successful at the box office.

She is an engineer

But, did you know, that Srinidhi Shetty is an engineer? She did her schooling from Sri Narayana Guru English Medium School, and later a pre-university course at St. Aloysius Pre-University College. She pursued a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Jain University, Bengaluru.



Her career achievements

She was a part of Manappuram Miss South India in 2015 and won the titles - Miss Karnataka and Miss Beautiful Smile. She participated in many other beauty pageants and won the Miss Supranational India 2016 title along with other subtitles for her smile, body and photogenic face. She was working as a model while she was employed at Accenture.

Acting journey

In 2018, she marked her acting debut with KGF: Chapter 1 in Prashanth Neel’s directorial starring Yash. The movie turned out to be a box office success and was the highest-grossing Kannada movie of the year. It also earned her nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South and SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Kannada. She won the SIIMA Award for Best Actress – Kannada for KGF: Chapter 2, which was the second-highest-grossing Indian movie of the year.


She later marked her Tamil debut with an action thriller titled Cobra opposite Vikram. It had an underwhelming performance at the box office and received mixed reviews from critics. Reports claimed that the actress had charged Rs 7 crore for the movie. After a three-year gap, she chartered into the Telugu industry with HIT: The Third Case, opposite Nani. She showed her versatility with her next Telugu film, Telusu Kada, opposite Siddhu Jonnalagadda. She is gearing up for her upcoming Telugu movie, Aadarsha Kutumbam House No 47.
