Six new K-dramas to watch this week on OTT starring Lee Jae Wook, Lim Ji-yeon, Park Ji-hoon: My Royal Nemesis to The Legend of Kitchen Soldier to Doctor on the Edge

While some fan-favourite series are reaching their finales, others are steadily building momentum with new episodes. Whether you're in the mood for heartwarming romance, laugh-out-loud comedy or suspense-filled storytelling, these six Korean dramas deserve a spot on your watchlist.


The Legend of Kitchen Soldier – Rakuten Viki, Disney+
One of the biggest releases wrapping up this week is The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. The fantasy military comedy released Episode 11 on June 15 and its series finale, Episode 12, on June 16.


Starring Park Ji-hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Han Dong Hee, Lee Hong Nae and Lee Sang Yi, the drama follows a young man who enlists in the army as a cook to escape his difficult life. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he gains access to a mysterious virtual quest system that helps him evolve into an extraordinary chef. Packed with comedy, action and heartwarming moments, the series has built a loyal fan base throughout its run.

My Royal Nemesis - Netflix
Fantasy romance fans may want to add My Royal Nemesis to their weekend watchlist. The drama aired Episode 13 on June 19 and concluded with Episode 14 on June 20.

The series stars Lim Ji-yeon, Heo Nam-jun and Jang Seung Jo. The story revolves around a feared villainess from the Joseon era who suddenly finds herself living in the body of a struggling modern-day actress. As she tries to adapt to a completely different world, she becomes entangled with a wealthy chaebol heir, leading to a chaotic love-hate relationship. The drama is also notable for being Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun's first K-drama project together.



Doctor on the Edge – Disney+, Hulu
Lee Jae Wook returned to television with Doctor on the Edge, which released Episodes 5 and 6 on June 15 and 16.

Also starring Shin Ye Eun, Hong Min Ki, Lee Soo Kyung and Kim Yoon Woo, the medical romance follows a doctor and a nurse who are transferred to a remote island community. While caring for local residents and dealing with everyday challenges, the pair slowly develop feelings for each other. The drama blends romance with emotional stories about friendship, healing and compassion.

Love Class 3 – Channel K, Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten Viki
The latest instalment of the popular BL franchise continues to attract attention. Love Class 3 released Episode 7 on June 18 and Episode 8 on June 19.

The series stars WAKER member Saebyeol, Seo Ihan, GHOST9's Lee Woo Jin and Petch. Set in the competitive world of K-pop training, the story follows four ambitious young performers working hard to achieve their dreams. Along the way, they find themselves going through complicated relationships and unexpected romances while dealing with the pressure of being in the spotlight.

The Lie We Lived In - Rakuten Viki
If thrillers are more your style, The Lie We Lived In is worth checking out. The BL suspense drama released Episodes 5 and 6 on June 19.

Starring Kim Seung Beom, Kim Gyeong Min and Lee Jeong Ho, the story centres on a contract killer who is assigned to eliminate a young man. However, things become complicated when he crosses paths with a warm-hearted detective. As emotions begin to cloud his judgment, the line between duty and desire becomes increasingly blurred.

Reborn Rookie - Rakuten Viki
Rounding out the list is Reborn Rookie, which released Episode 7 on June 20 and Episode 8 on June 21. The fantasy comedy stars Lee Jun Young, Son Hyun Joo, Lee Ju Myoung, Jeon Hye Jin and Jin Goo. The drama follows the powerful chairman of a major company whose soul is unexpectedly transferred into the body of a young soccer player.

Forced to start life from scratch as a rookie employee at his own company, he finds himself caught in a series of hilarious and unpredictable situations.
