Singer V from K-pop band BTS makes history on Spotify with his latest single 'Christmas Tree'

Korean boy-band BTS are surely on a global domination, and not just as a group but every member of the band enjoys a serious fan following in the world.

BTS member V recently made history with his song 'Christmas Tree', the soundtrack of Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi's released launched K-drama, 'Our Beloved Summer'.

According to Spotify, the global music streaming platform, V's solo song took the top spot on Spotify Korea's Top 200 Songs chart for two consecutive days - January 26 and January 27.


With this, V also became the first Korean male solo singer to reach the top spot.

It doesn't just stop there. The song 'Christmas Tree' also entered Spotify's Global Top 200 weekly chart for the second time. This set a new record for the longest-charting Korean original soundtrack on the chart.

In just 29 days, V's solo hit has recorded over 30 million streams on Spotify. No other Korean solo artist has witnessed this reaction for their songs before.
The band, which consists V, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Park Ji-min, J-Hope, Suga, recently made their separate debut on photo sharing platform Instagram.

The K-pop band, BTS, is currently on a break and will be seen sharing the stage when they go on their 'Permission To Dance' worldwide concert tour.
